AIGA I Love Design: House Industries Loves Letters

AIGA of Jacksonville puts on yet another amazing event. Rich Roat, Co-Founder of  House Industries, was charming and funny, giving an all around great presentation. He gave the audience insight to the minds of the creatives at House Industries. The process of their unique type designs starts like anything else, with an idea. The extremely talented illustrators sketch their ideas using their favorite media. They work as a team to push the ideas from great to amazing. From smooth and elegant to tongue-licking crazy, they continue to push the mark on typography.
But it doesn’t stop there. Innovation drives them to new heights as they begin to digitize select alphabets from the Photo-Lettering collection. Rich demonstrated the extended features of photolettering.com’s interface, which includes layering, color control and multiple master interpolation over six axes.

Everyone left the auditorium inspired. This event would not have happened without the leadership of Katy Garrison and Sean Tucker. Did I mention the catering was fantastic? Thanks Tara Behan, Kelly MacDonald, Katy Garrison.
